I've had a few people approach me in recent weeks asking me to do work for them on one project or another. (A few of you have brought others to my attention, thank you. )
Sometimes they want me to work on a comic sequence. Others just a pin up, or spot illustration. But they all had one thing in common. They promise exposure.
One I saw promised "...recognition by many artists, publishers and fans." Another assured me that "This can be an opportunity for you to get more exposure."
These promises are enormous red flags that should alert you to run the other way.
Anyone who promises you exposure instead of money is trying to scam you. Not
Here's an average summary of a private message that I receive on a weekly basis:
Hello,
I just came by your profile and saw your art, and was very impressed. I think you have a very nice art style. Now I'm working on this project. It's called <project>. It's an awesome story about <subject>. I'm currently writing the script for it, but I'm planning to make a visual novel. I can't tell too much about the story, since I don't want it to be copied, but it's going to be really cool. The point is; I need illustrators. I'm an excellent writer, but I can't do illustration at all. And therefore, I wanted to ask for your help. I need abou

How to make a popular photography account easily
First sorry because I´m not a native english speaker, so this text will have a few sintax errors :D
I'm gonna teach you how to create an ultrapopular photography account on a few easy steps
-First step. You must search a porn site rip from the internet. Yeah, that's quite hard, maybe you prefer download the complete Tumblr, it's almost the same thing.... Of course Alt-porn is also a good placement for photo abduction
-Second step. Save all that random erotic photos in your home 178TB porn server (hard disks are for lame people, you need something bigger than the NSA searching friends.
-Third, create a new account in deviantart
Copied and pasted from my blog since deviantART's been having this problem for a while now. I had meant to post something on this matter back in October since it was when I noticed more and more "publishers" like this popping up on the site, but never got around to it. Of course, with all of these unprofessional publishers coming out of the woodwork again recently, I thought I'd share what I shared on my blog here.
What is a scam publisher?
Essentially, a scam publisher is a press that cheats authors into believing that they are getting traditionally published by their rules and guidelines. However, if you read the fine print, you'll see

Recently, i was watching the latest Nostalgia Critic video when i glanced at the comments, which i rarely do. I noticed there was some internet troll named "Timmyjinguro" who was repeating, over and over, that Doug's work is in decline, everything he does is simply awful, and he should just give up and fade away. Most people see this as random trolling -- oh, look at the little troll, he's just being rude to piss people off and spark lively debate, he doesn't really mean it. Don't feed the trolls!
And i'm sure that's true in a lot of cases. But ultimately, there's a real men

How to create a successful Group
My beautiful friends :blowkiss:
I hope everybody is doing fine and enjoying their summer :dalove:
Today, I want to talk about Groups. I’m a member of so many groups and I always encourage my friends to join as many groups as they can, a group is always a great place to meet new artists and let everybody know what you do.
But, I’m sure that you guys notice every now and then that there is a group that is not active or it has been around for a long time and it has so few members, or a group that doesn't respond to their members and so many other problems. There are so many groups people create just for the sake of creating a
So DA has gone and launched a new feature called Premium Content Publishing.
Basically it allows you to sell your artwork and products such as brushes, stock photos.. well whatever, via DA using the points system to earn real money ... eventually. Along the way DA takes a 20% cut of the sales price. (Hey - gotta finance that private island somehow!! --> http://fav.me/d1wlypl)
So, the way it goes is that you upload your high res art file via sta.sh and then offer it for download. A person who wants to buy it, pays you in DA points for which you can then get converted into paypal money (after

Dirty minds see dirty images... *update at bottom*
It has been said that the human mind can imagine things a lot more detailed when it has to fill in the blanks.
Being shown something in plain view, our brains just process it as "something".
But when we are looking at something that is either censored, out of view, or concealed, our brains are boggled with the possibilities of what is being hidden - the imagination takes over and it can be "anything"!
That is why naughty images which are censored seem naughtier.
The off-screen monster which we can't see seems scarier.
The Christmas present which is wrapped seems more special.
With that being said...
Does that means if an image is offen
